From teaching new trombonists how to properly hold their horns, to helping dozens of Florida middle and high school students ace their All-State auditions, I have been helping low-brass instrumentalists achieve their musical goals since 2004.
Through my brand, D. Mirvil Music, I provide private lessons, clinics, and masterclasses to support students of all skill levels, educators, and ensembles.
With each interaction, my goal is simple — to encourage every student I encounter to be the hero in their own journey toward mastery in musicianship.

Trombone/Low Brass Masterclass
The masterclass is a unique learning experience that combines personalized instruction with group learning. During the session, select students receive 1-on-1 guidance from Dr. Mirvil in front of an audience of their peers. Both participants and attendees benefit from the shared learning environment — receiving tips, guidance and insight from an experienced low brass artist and educator. Cost: Pricing available upon request.
Trombone/Low Brass Clinic
Low brass clinics offer a hands-on learning experience to any instrumentalist desiring to sharpen his/her skills. No topic is off limits! From tips on the proper way to assemble a trombone, to more intensive trainings like how to develop a dark tone, anything is up for grabs! The low brass clinic is ideal for small groups, low brass sections and/or ensembles who want specialized instruction in an interactive learning environment. Â Cost: Pricing available upon request
